Congratulations to James Aitken, Lead Piping Engineer from our Brisbane office for being named one of Australia’s Most Innovative Engineers 2017 by Engineers Australia. James was recognised for his role in developing a method for disposing of Coal Waste Rejects underground into the goaf area of the mine, reducing or removing the need for surface or offsite storage. We’re proud of you James!

The Port Mann Water Supply Tunnel project was recognized by the Tunnelling Association of Canada Monday, October 17 with their prestigious Canadian Innovation Project of the Year award. The award recognizes tunnelling projects that exhibit exceptional engineering skill, insight and innovation in the face of challenges. Several "firsts in Canada" were employed to achieve the final design.
Ausenco has again been recognized as one of Canada’s safest employers at the Canadian Safety Awards Gala held October 24th, in Toronto, Canada. The annual gala, hosted by Canadian Occupational Safety magazine, unites companies from across Canada who are leaders in promoting occupational health and safety practices in their fields. Ausenco was a silver award recipient in the mining and natural resources category at the event.
